I had a great time in downtown Detroit covering Labor Day. Detroit is probably the best place to be in the U.S.A. on Labor Day weekend with the Detroit Jazz Festival; Labor Day Parade; Arts, Beats & Eats; Hamtramck Festival; and more. Aretha Franklin gave a great performance, and many national and state dignitaries were on hand for the festivities.
