Belle Isle in Detroit was designed to be a municipal park by Frederick Law Olmstead in the late 1800s. Renowned architect Albert Kahn designed the Conservatory, Aquarium, Lighthouse and Casino structures. This 600 acre park, located on an island in the Detroit River, offers beautiful views of both downtown Detroit and Windsor, Ontario.
