Last month I received a call from a man in Detroit who was looking to have a photograph restored. He wanted to give the restored photo as an Easter gift to his sister.
The photo Michael provided me was one of his sister and her late husband. They were married for 40 years. One day her husband died tragically in a fire, and this photo from the early 1970s was the only one of the two of them from that era.
The photo was in terrible shape. It was ripped, torn, and taped together. Michael was very concerned that the project be completed in time for Easter, because that day was also his sister’s birthday. This restored photo would mean so much to her.
I was honored to assist Michael in this birthday and Easter gift for his sister. He has helped to restore a memory and preserve a treasure for generations to come.
